What is a Rev. and how do I find him?
New: Google has verified me
For as long as I can remember, I've worked from the idea that a person can do anything as long as one takes the time to learn. I was editing analog video, taking 35mm pictures and DJ-ing on live radio in high school. I started working in the digital medium around 1999 by playing with free, online website creation tools. Then I learned how easy technology was making music & image production.
Many people wonder about the name I have chosen. My real name is Kris Raikes, but in the early 2000's I wrote for an independent newspaper in a sleepy Victorian town under the moniker you see at the top of this site. It stuck as I made connections in the art community while editing the entertainment section. That experience, along with production in local theater, gave me a professional outlet for what I had only previously pursued as a hobby.
For the last 3 years I worked for Washington State University Learning Center in Port Hadlock, WA in the field of education and technology. My skills were put to organizing data, developing classes in computer instruction, editing documentaries, maintaining an intranet and researching emerging capabilities & technologies. The Learning Center held a lab, open to the public and focused on assisting them in attaining proficiency in the information age.
Today I am a freelance graphic artist, layout editor, web designer, server maintainer, and social media creator/consultant. I am constantly researching and upgrading my skills (over 30 certifications to-date). And as always, in my free-time I work on personal art projects, assist friends & non-profits, mentor, and engage local & digital communities.

Geocaching
Geocaching is a kind of hi-tech tourism meets treasure-hunt with a GPS unit and discovery as the prize. Well, my house is on the map now as one of these peculiar hotspots. When visiting the webpage, pay no attention to the description or image - my house was an after-thought and the page had already been made by the maintainers of the site.
